Starting 1st of September, Diana Ugalde is the new (and first) Programme Officer within Healthy Food, Healthy Planet. In this role she is the linchpin between the Pooled Fund and the CSO movement, serving both constituencies.
Diana is originally from Costa Rica, where she studied Human Nutrition. She later came to Europe to complete an Erasmus Master’s Degree in Food Identity and a PhD in Food Sciences. During her career she has led projects engaging with different actors like consumers, producers and researchers in Costa Rica, Romania and France related to improving food environments and diets, environmental production practices and participatory approaches.
